This week, we were able to answer a call for assistance from Ready to Succeed LA. RTS works with students that have termed-out of foster care, by mentoring them into college and then throughout their college career. Many of their college mentees have had to remain in college housing during this crisis, because they do not have alternative housing options. So, RTS continues to make sure their needs are met. However, food has become a challenge for many, particularly for their students who have compromised immune systems.
Today, Karsh Center prepared and delivered bags filled with healthy food, as well as toilet paper and toiletries to RTS students USC. As leaders at Ready to Succeed LA shared with Karsh, “I know those students, who have no family to look after them during these hard times, saw angels when you appeared with food, caring and toilet paper too!”
