On May 17, 2020, the Karsh Center played a role in the Car Scavenger Hunt of Jewish Los Angeles for families in Open Temple’s Creative Torah Academy. The goal of the program was for families to discover key landmarks of L.A.’s Jewish community and have the opportunity to get out of their house in a safe, responsible manner. The scavenger hunt included a clue to direct families to the Karsh Center, where they dropped off canned food donations to go to those served by our Food Pantry program.

We loved being part of this fun, creative, and safe way to switch up families’ schedules after so much time indoors. The donations allowed us to continue feeding our community with varied and healthy groceries. Thank you to Open Temple, a Jewish spiritual community in Venice, CA, for organizing the Car Scavenger Hunt!
