Diapers, baby wipes, food, hand sanitizer, masks, toiletries, clothes, books, and laptops. This is the general list of the items that our community members tell us that they are worried about, either because they are difficult to afford or impossible to find on bare shelves.
We’re grateful for the support from the Temple congregation, Collaborators, and other generous individuals who have procured high-quality goods for distribution to our clients. While monetary contributions keep the Karsh Center flexible in difficult times like these, these gifts make sure that we are able to materially provide for our neighbors.
Two temple members donated thoughtfully prepared bags of items for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our religious school community donated and prepared “Caregiver Kits” for new mothers, which have been met with deep gratitude from our clients who are due to give birth during the pandemic. Marlborough High School stepped up and donated feminine hygiene products, toiletries, and baby supplies.

One of many crates of tuna and peanut butter donated to the Karsh Center.
We’ve received crates and crates of peanut butter and tuna from one Board member, and hundreds of diapers, pounds of frozen foods, and children’s clothing from other local businesses.
Our Amazon wishlist has provided a stream of colorful children’s books to keep young children entertained and provide relief to their parents.
Our longstanding relationships with organizations like Baby2Baby and Food Forward, and new connections with organizations like the Sam Simon Feeding Foundation, as well as a number of significant donations including diapers from the Sugerman Group, along with piles of citrus, hygiene products and athletic clothes that have been donated, have helped maintain our diaper, hygiene and grocery supplies.
To all these gifts and countless others that have not been mentioned – thank you.
