The Karsh Center is currently providing fresh, healthy, groceries to over 800 families a week. We’ve been very fortunate to receive extra help in this effort from the Sam Simon Feeding Families Foundation. The Sam Simon Foundation has generously donated hundreds of bags of high-quality, fresh, vegan food to the Karsh Center. These bags have gone out to clients of KYCC, API Forward Movement, Faith and Community Empowerment, and HOLA, serving individuals living in low-income housing, seniors, the unsheltered, and the recently unemployed.
We are so thrilled every time the Sam Simon Foundation’s truck (pictured above) rolls up to the curb outside of our parking lot. It means that we have expanded capacity to provide families with food that will help them feel healthy, well, and more prepared to take on the challenges of our current times.
