The Karsh Center has been working with Koreatown Youth + Community Center, a community organization with an impressive history of helping those in need in Koreatown, since our opening.  In response to the coronavirus pandemic, we tripled the scale of our Mobile Food Pantry program, which deliveries fresh groceries and resources to families living in a supportive housing unit operated by KYCC. Now, on a weekly basis, the Karsh Center provides food to 100 families that are housed in KYCC’s supportive housing units. This expansion was part of a larger campaign called  KYCC <3 Ktown, a collaboration with organizations across Los Angeles, to feed homebound seniors affected by COVID-19. Korean publications featured one of our distributions in articles about the launch of KYCC <3 Ktown. Take a look at these articles from the Korea Times, the Korea Daily, Radio Seoul, and the Koreatown Daily!
